BJ Fragua Lidded Seed Jar

BJ Fragua is an exceptionally talented artist, creating some of the best of Jemez traditional pottery. She was inspired to make pottery by her mother Juanita many years ago.

This seed jar with a carved and polished stopper is a marvelous example of the graceful and stylish work done by BJ Fragua. She has carved a wave and painted a kiva steps and cloud design around the circumference of his jar. The painting is particularly beautiful, and the polishing has made for a smooth and elegant piece.
